Academic Building

As the name implies, the Academic Building is the primary school building on the CSA campus, housing learning and gathering spaces, and a satellite health center to enable rapid address of any student health issues. Two library media center rooms provide ample space for students to assemble for reading, presentations, and discussions. The flexible theater space is home to the Academy’s performing arts and ceremony events alike, comprising an open configuration floor area, a curtained stage, and an advanced audiovisual infrastructure. Our dining staff prepares breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner in the state of the art kitchen adjacent to the cafeteria, where our students gather for meals and presentations on the small stage. Classrooms in the Academic Building are spacious, equipped with tools and assembly areas which enable circulation, quiet study, and idea sharings.

Back to Campus Tour

CSA has made the arts an important curricular and co-curricular component of school life. Our on-campus theater furthers this priority by providing a state of the art venue for student choral performances and reader’s theater. Our theater is intentionally connected to our performing arts classroom to allow students the opportunity to learn important stage design as well as audio, visual, and lighting skills.

The versatility of our theater also allows the Academy to use the space as a community gathering center in support of parent continuing education, school community meetings, awards ceremonies, and, athletic exhibitions.

Think Tank

The Think Tank is a welcoming place for CSA community members to gather to collaborate and relax any time of the day while on campus. The "Tank" is located centrally in the main Academic Building, and generally serves as a gathering place for students, faculty, and parents. On any given day, Monday through Saturday, you can find staff and parents working side-by side and collaboratively on relevant professional development, continuing education, and volunteer projects. All community members are welcome to use the state of the art conference room, video conferencing system, and/or computer terminals with printers. Many continuing education programs for parents and faculty are also held in the "Tank" to give parents an opportunity to use relevant technology.
